What made you want to become a FilmMaker? This is a good one! I wanted to be in the medical field, because my mom was N.A (Nurse Aid) and she raised me to believe in people and be as helpful as needed. The wild part is that I grew up in some of the hardest places in Cleveland and was a young artist too! So I had to come to grips,that my life would be in many different enviroments! So!...I Picked the Artist route. I went to Cleveland School of the Arts and one day I saw "Star Wars" and then "Buck Rodgers" came on, I wanted to know how they made the ships fly. So I asked my art teacher (R.I.P) how?...He showed me threw books and films on "Film Making", "I was one of the "at-risk" kids. From then, I was gonna go to school to become a "Neural Surgen" and play "Sports" Then something gave me a glimce of what I could do, I made the choice and turned to movies and that's history. It's hard doing this and being a blackman in the industry, but I do know my thing and that's entertainment. I was told "never, ever to give up what u Love" Love you Mrs. Mary f Griffin and Alfred D. Clark Sir. and to the one that "knock" some sense in me also,Mr. Lenard L. Dickerson(R.I.P) "Thank U for my Life" What made you pick Horror and Sci-fi? The world of Horror and Sci-fi is one in which, it is only defined by what your imagination can develop. I was a Sci-Head for a long time, even a "Trekkie!". I rented a film called "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things" by Bob Clark, I researched him and found out about the world of INDIE film making and the Horror genre. So I dove into learning Special Effect makeup and the mental aspects, plus the social range of the genre. I like the way I could make or direct people's ranges of emotions and promote reaction by visual,aduditory stimulation of situation, even even giving shape to people fears and giving fantasy avenue of handling their fears, that in some help in dissecting and practicalizing the manifestation of that fear. Sorry!...Went on a Tangent! Back to the question! When I learned the technique of the art, I started doing make-up from video, mags and watching the extra's on the video at the end. Coming from my background, My mom raised us and we did have the funds to do what i wanted. So I found common alternatives and made the best I could and that is history. What do you what in long term goals? Aaawwe! that's easy! I want to continue the career in film making, then return to my old Alma Mater Cleveland School of the Art in Cleveland, Ohio to teach Film Making to the kids there. Having them come intern on practical sets to learn the craft from the crew aspect to start the foundation of their careers. So people can stop trying to put the "Horse before the Cart", U will miss a practical step that more than likely to a process u need as a film maker. If u learn about the whole process, u will know what is wrong on ur project.
